How to Translate a YouTube Video (Subtitles and Dubbing)
Need to understand a foreign-language video, or make your content available to a new audience? Here's how to translate a YouTube video in minutes — either as subtitles or as full AI dubbing.
Two options: subtitles vs. dubbing
When translating video you have two main choices. Subtitles keep the original audio and add translated text — ideal when you want to hear the original. Dubbing replaces the speech with a new voice in the target language, so viewers don't have to read. Our tool does both, and both work from a YouTube link or an uploaded file.
Step by step
- Open the Video Translation section and pick the Subtitles or Dubbing tab.
- Paste a YouTube link (or upload an MP4 file).
- Choose the target language.
- Start processing. The system transcribes the speech, translates it and generates subtitles or a new audio track.
- Download the result: an SRT/VTT file, a video with burned-in subtitles, or the dubbed video.
💡 For longer videos the tool splits the audio into chunks and dubs them in sequence so the audio stays in sync with the picture.
Subtitle export: SRT, VTT and burned-in
You can download finished subtitles as an SRT or VTT file for your own player or editor. If you want the subtitles permanently in the video (for social media, say), burn them straight into the picture — with a choice of font, color and background.
Translation quality and review before export
You can edit every subtitle segment before downloading. Timestamps are linked to the video, so clicking a timecode jumps to that point to check the translation fits — giving you an accurate, natural-sounding result.
